1. Oral-B Black 7000
In our view, this is the most advanced electric toothbrush and only the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean is almost on the same level.
The only problem with the Oral-B Black 7000 is the price, which right now is a little too highm but the features are great.
It offers 40,000 pulsations per minute and 8,800 oscillations/rotations per minute which will ensure a complete 3D cleaning.
It has six brushing modes:
- Daily Clean
- Deep Clean
- Tongue Cleaning
Oral-B also added the Pressure Sensor to this toothbrush which will stop the pulsations every time you brush too hard. This way you avoid damaging your teeth or your gums and you alos protect the brush head bristles.
The Oral-B Black 7000 handle is water tolerant for 500 millibars of pressure and is compatible with many Oral-B brush heads. Here are the brush heads compatible with this electric toothbrush: Floss Action, Precision Clean, Sensitive, Power Tip, ProWhite, Dual Clean, Deep Sweep, and Ortho.
The battery life is around ten days which is considered good enough. This is if you brush two times each day and for two minutes each time, which is recommended by all the dentists.
One very important feature is the SmartGuide which will show you the timers and the selected mode and serves as a digital clock when not in use.
The Oral-B Black 7000 is black which is a really nice color for a toothbrush.

2. Philips Sonicare FlexCare Platinum
Even if it is not the latest electric toothbrush from Philips Sonicare, the FlexCare Platinum offers a very complete solution for your oral health. The Flexcare Platinum has 31,000 movements per minute, three intensity levels (low, medium, and high) and three brushing modes (Clean, White, and Gum Care) which can be combined with the intensity levels to obtain nine brushing options.
The Philips Sonicare Flexcare Platinum has a Pressure Sensor to alert you when brushing too hard, the battery life is three weeks, which is very good, and you also have the Easy Start feature which will increase the power of the toothbrush over the first uses until you get used to the power.
